Two Teenagers Arrested For Stealing Car From Pennsylvania: Fairfield PD

Two teenagers were arrested and charged with stealing a car in Fairfield on Sunday, Nov. 3, authorities said.

At 9:31 a.m., Fairfield police said they were alerted to a stolen vehicle in the township, a 2016 gray Hyundai Elantra with Pennsylvania registration, that had been stolen Friday, Nov. 1 out of Northampton County in Pennsylvania. 

The vehicle was located traveling west on Route 46 and was stopped on Fairfield Road, police said.

The occupants, both 16-year-olds were placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing, police said. The vehicle was impounded and the victim was contacted, police said.

The juvenile driver was charged with receiving stolen property and unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The juvenile passenger was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance, police said.

Both juveniles were later released to family members pending an initial court appearance, police said.
